Grandaddy's bday!

We just adore my parents. I will never be able to express how much they have helped us, how much they mean to us, or how much I love them. Ok, sappiness ending... :)

We celebrated my dad's bday with a surprise ride on the Polar Express! We had an awesome time riding the train, eating cookies and drinking hot chocolate, listening to the Polar Express story be read, and seeing the Christmas lights! It was a special night!

Fall Soccer 2012!

Annie had a blast playing soccer for another season. She wore the #4 jersey and did a great job! The Yellow Terminators won all but one game the whole season!

Sleepovers

Sleepovers and I haven't always had the best reputation. I had one as a child that scarred me for life, and since then I have limited the sleepovers me or my children have been exposed to. However after the last two sleepovers that I've been to, I may be changing my mind.

First there was sweet L's bday. A hotel sleepover with 8, 2nd and 3rd grade girls. L's mom, my sweet friend Janelle invited me and Annie to join them for the night. I won't lie, I was slightly terrified, and sure I wouldn't get any sleep, but I was wrong! What a fun night we had, with what can only be called an awesome group of adorable girls!
The next weekend it was Janelle's birthday, so off to the hotel we went again! I mean, what better way to celebrate a birthday that ends in a zero, than a sleepover with 7 awesome ladies?! I got less sleep at that one than I did with the kids the weekend before, but it was worth it!

We had a ton of fun, including another intense app sharing session. It's what we do. :-)

Fun times!

Halloween '12

Halloween 2012 was another good one! The kids picked easy costumes, which made their mama happy. :)

We had an Olympian, a Southern Belle, and Optimus Prime from our house this year. Everyone gathered at the Cummings' house and continued the fun tradition of getting together for dinner before hitting the streets of their neighborhood. I just love our sweet group of friends! We made it home after visiting Nana and Papa's house, with just enough time for some intense candy trading negotiations. :-)
