Halloween '12

Halloween 2012 was another good one! The kids picked easy costumes, which made their mama happy. :)

We had an Olympian, a Southern Belle, and Optimus Prime from our house this year. Everyone gathered at the Cummings' house and continued the fun tradition of getting together for dinner before hitting the streets of their neighborhood. I just love our sweet group of friends! We made it home after visiting Nana and Papa's house, with just enough time for some intense candy trading negotiations. :-)

Black and Blue

We have a wonderful tradition of going blueberry picking every year. However, an early extra warm spring threw a kink in our plans, and most of the blueberries were gone when we went! All was well though, because the blackberries were plentiful! Grammie joined our group again this year, and we had a wonderfully beautiful day.

We did have to get a pic with the blueberry sign, even though we didn't pick blueberries!

Our crazy, wonderful, group of kiddos!

Our Family Christmas

I love traditions. They make me happy, they give me that warm fuzzy feeling inside. One of my favorite traditions in the last few years is Christmas Eve. My parents come down and hang out with us, help us set out the milk and cookies for Santa, and spend the night. The next morning we all gather together, bleary eyed, to watch the kids excitement. It's my favorite part of Christmas! This year we let the kids open some gifts on Christmas Eve...

They loved that, and then had time to play! Ellie made some jewelry while Austin and daddy played with Austin's new train, then Ellie got the cookies for Santa ready, and Annie wrote him a note...

Christmas morning!

Merry Christmas!

It's that time again!

We just had our 4th annual blueberry picking adventure!

It's an adventure with my 3 kids, for sure. This year wasn't without its ups and downs, but for now I'll focus on the ups. :)

We had quite a blueberry picking group this year! It was so fun to have our friends and family with us!

I mean, who couldn't have fun with these monkey's around?

Austin enjoyed picking berries for about 2 minutes, then after that he tried to raid our friends buckets. When that didn't work, he just played, and looked for Nana. :)

Ellie, as always, did a fantastic job filling her bucket. This year she buddied up with Langley and they did great!

Annie (with face paint still on from the zoo the night before :) had her best year to date. She ended up with at least twice as many berries as last year. I think it helped that she and William buddied up, he inspired her. :)

This is one of my favorite family traditions!

The Kindergarten Circus!

Ok, the Kindergarten Circus may just be the cutest thing ever! Imagine a bunch of 5 and 6 year olds dressed up as circus characters, dancing and singing and just being adorable!

Annie's class were ribbon dancers, as was Ellie's class 3 years ago! The kids were too cute, but I have to say that Annie was the cutest! She picked her black and red leotard, and we added some homemade leg warmers to up the cute factor. :-). Thanks to my friend Janelle for that great idea! She suggested we take some knee socks and cut off the feet for some cute leg warmers!

The circus turned out great and Annie did a great job!

What a fun tradition this is! I hear that it's been around for many many years, and I can see why!

Dr. Ellie was wonderful to look after all the animals. Especially Delilah the Bumblebee.

Oh my, what a group of characters!

Ariel, Cleopatra, Toothless the Dragon, and a pro basketball player. Yes, we have quite a diverse group of friends!

Ya need a hand with you car partner?

Our Easter

Our Easter, in pictures...

Dying eggs at Grammie's house. The girls were very careful, and created beautiful eggs and Austin only squished two of his. :)

Peeking out the front door to see if that elusive bunny came...

He did!

Having the grandparents over for some good family time!

Hunting for Eggs...

And wearing ourselves out...

What a fun, beautiful and blessed day.
